WINONA, Minn. – With one exception, all of the built-in activation triggers available in the new Winona police bodycam system will be functioning, Police Chief Tom Williams said. In a report to the City Council on planned bodycam procedures, the chief said the system manufacturer’s one available trigger that won’t be used is the opening of a squad car door. About storing footage, the only redactions will be with minors, Williams said. It now is up to the Council to endorse the bodycam policy.
