ST. PAUL, Minn. – Police said a puppy shot in a porta-potty at a St. Paul Park apparently had been left for dead. The good news: The puppy survived. A day after surgery “Bill,” as he’s being called, was able to take medications orally and sample breakfast. Liz Gigler, of the Rescued Pets Are Wonderful organization, called the pup a champ. Gigler said applications to be a foster home will be taken this week. An online fund drive for the puppy’s care exceeded the $2,000 goal.
