ST. PAUL, Minn. – The state Natural Resources Department approved a $125,000 grant to Winona to inoculate ash trees against borers. With the grant the city plans to treat 190 trees this year and 2023 next year and to do booster treatments through 2025. Boulevards and city parks have 585 trees, many of which are afflicted already with ash borer disease.
