DULUTH, Minn. – Firefighters rescued a swimmer who had been pulled 200 yards into Lake Superior by a rip tide. The firefighters, from the Duluth rescue swimmer squad, used a specially equipped surfboard to reach the swimmer. The woman, age 20, was taken a hospital for exhaustion. She was expected to recover. The lake was stirred unusually rough by storms. Several people swimming nearby escaped the riptide and made it to shore it to shore. The 911 call was about 4 p.m. With more storminess expected, the Fire Department issued a warning for dangerous swimming conditions effective through 10 a.m. Monday.\
