MINNEAPOLIS – Minnesota Timberwolves guard Malik Beasley pleaded guilty to threatening violence when his house showed up on a Parade of Homes list and people started driving by in great numbers. The unwanted traffic happened in September. Prosecutors said Beasley pointed a rifle at a house-hunting couple inside a vehicle with their child and told them to get off his property. “I could have retreated,” Beasley said after his plea. “I was not in my right mind. I’m ready to move on.” The pleas to the charge of threatening violence was in exchange for a drug possession charge being dropped. Judge Hilary Caliguri said she would consider either 120 days in the workhouse or in-home monitoring after the next NBA season. Beasley, who has a four-year $60 million Timberwolves contract, said he would suit up for the next Timberwolves game. Meanwhile Beasley’s wife, Montana Yao, will be court December 29 on a drug possession charge. Beasley himself will be back in court February 9 to wrap up his sentencing details.
