WINONA, Minn. – Winona County and adjoining Minnesota and Wisconsin counties remain at high risk for CoVid infections. Masks should still be worn, according to guidelines from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This despite data in most the nation that masks are no longer needed in indoor public settings. The Winona region’s hospital bed capacity, hospital admissions, and case frequency suggest, however, continuing mask protection and anti-spreading measures. At high risk: Houston, Olmsted, Fillmore, Wabasha and Winona counties in Minnesota and La Crosse, Buffalo and Trempealeau counties in Wisconsin.
