WINONA, Minn. – Deputies tased Matthew Thomas Gavin, 18, of Caledonia, during an arrest at the Kwik Trip convenience store at Huff and Sarnia streets. Gavin had resisted, deputies said. After being tased he was arrested. The arrest followed a call to police about 8 p.m. that that a man was driving all over the road near the Kwik Trip. Police stopped Gavin, whom they said refused a sobriety test. The tasing followed. Police planned to recommend several charges: Drunken driving drunk, resisting arrest, and possessing liquor underage.
