ROCHESTER, Minn. – The car used in ransacking the Gameshaven Boy Scout camp on Thanksgiving night had been stolen, the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office said. The car was abandoned after becoming stuck in mud as the perpetrators left the camp. Investigators had hoped the car would be break in the case. But it turned out that the car, an old Volkswagen, had been stolen from a pole shed in the 4200 Block of 30th Avenue Southeast in nearby Marion Township. The car’s owner said the vehicle had been gifted by a church and was stolen perhaps as early as November. The keys had been left in the car.
