LEWISTON, Minn. – A Lewiston-Altura school task force recommended closing the Altura grade school to save money. The school handles all pre-kindergarten through fourth grade instruction in the largely rural district. Students instead would go to the existing middle school in Lewiston. Robin Randall, of the task force, said the recommendation reflects declining enrollment.
