WESTBY, Minn. – Fire destroyed the Westby Machine Shop on the northeast outskirts overnight. Firefighters were called about 11 p.m. When they arrived they heard one explosion after another, apparently caused by welding equipment. Firefighters expected to spend all night cooling off hot spots. The fire was at 336 East Park Street.
