WINONA, Minn. – Fire damaged a garage Sunday morning in the 600 residential block of West Mill Street near the smaller Lake Winona. It was an attached garage, and the house itself suffered minor damage. Firefighters said no one was home, but a cat was rescued and later taken to the veterinarian by its owner. The cause of the fire remained under investigation, the fire department said.
