MINNEAPOLIS – Who says former Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton isn’t a 21st century kind of guy. He took to Facebook to announce that he former campaign aide Ana Orke are husband and wife. “I am delighted to reach out to you in these challenging times with some very happy news: After 20 years of bachelorhood, I am now a married man!” Dayton posted. He’s 73, she 32. “The truth is,” he said, “the feelings that developed between Ana and me, given our age difference, surprised us too, at first. But as we grew to know each other, we realized that the love binding us is far deeper and more meaningful than the years that separate us.” The bride is a political science grad of St. Olaf College. She worked on Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign in 2008 and then on Dayton’s 2010 gubernatorial campaign. They started dating after they ran into each other in Minneapolis a couple of years ago, he said.

Best wishes. About his bride, Dayton said: “She’s smart, compassionate, tough, funny, and impossibly good at Scrabble.”
