WASHINGTON – The leader of Republicans in the U.S. House, Kevin McCarthy of California, failed a third time in the same day to corral a majority of his own party members in his bid for the House leadership. House Domocrats, who are outnumbered by Republicans, wee unified behind New York member Hakeem Jeffries, but they too were unable to amass the necessary 234 votes. There was no change in how Minnesota and Wisconsin delegations divided from the  the earlier two votes..
