Ron Kind would like his successor to be Brad Pfaff of suburban Onalaska, who once was an aide on Kind’s staff for farm and rural issues. “For years I saw Brad’s commitment to service firsthand as he worked with me on behalf of Wisconsin’s family farmers,” Kind said. “Brad has the life experience, temperament and work ethic it takes to bring people together and solve problems.” Kind, from LaCrosse, is not seeking a 14th term. Pfaff currently is a state senator.
