ST. PAUL, Minn. – Four Minnesota governors, from across the political spectrum, released a video in a joint call for citizens to vote. Tim Walz appears with former governors Mark Dayton, Tim Pawlenty and Jesse Ventura. About the 60-second video, Walz tweeted: “I asked some friends to help me explain why Election Day might be a little different this year. The four of us don’t agree on everything. But we do agree on this: The 2020 election is too important to sit out.” The bipartisan video is a response to repeated false claims by President Trump that the 2020 election is rigged and mail-in ballots are fraudulent. Said Pawlenty: “Our state is proud to have one of the safest and most secure election systems in the whole country.” In a tangential message, the video ends with the governors each pulling up a face mask.
