WINONA, Minn. – Retired Mayor Mark Peterson has been appointed to raise private funds to renovate the Lake Park bandshell.  Peterson was asked to head the project by the Laird-Norton family and the Winona Foundation. The goal, Peterson said, is $1 million on top of already appropriated $300,00 in municipal and $285,000 federal funds. The target to is complete renovations for 2024 concerts on the bandshell’s 100th anniversary.
