CHATFIELD, Minn. — Richard “Dick” M. Seeling, 89, of Chatfield and formerly of Winona, a lithographer, died of an exotic kidney disease at a Mayo hospital in Rochester. Throughout his long battle with polycystic kidney, he volunteered as a Mayo test patient to help doctors find ways to diagnose the illness. As a young adult, he was a commercial fisherman and trapper with his father and uncles. He worked at Jones & Kroeger, La Crosse Printing, Hal Leonard Music, and Davies Printing. He retired at age 72. He had lived in Chatfield since the early 1980s.
