PRESTON, Minn. – With shovel in hand, the state Veterans Affairs commissioner, Larry Herke, helped ceremoniously break ground for the new Veterans Home on a blufftop overlooking Preston. The 60,000 square-foot facility will have 54 housing units. Occupancy is expected early in 2023.
