MORA, Minn. – A rising star in Minnesota politics, State Representative Dan Wolgamott, was arrested for guzzling vodka while driving. Walgammot, 32, a Democrat, in his third term from St. Cloud, was pulled over by a state trooper in Kanabec County after someone reported him drinking while parked at a liquor store. This was 50 miles from home Friday evening. When stopped down the road, Walgamott’s vehicle had been weaving and had no front license plate plus an expired registration, the trooper said.

Wolgammot. Recently recognized as Legislator of the Year by the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association. As speaker pro-tem of the Minnesota House, he often presides when the Legislature is in session. He is a political science grad of St. John’s University. After college interned for Governor Tim Walz when t\Walz was in Congress.
