EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – An Indiana man died of stab wounds suffered on Thanksgiving. Police responding to a call to the 600 block of Franklin Street found Travis Lee Smith, 37, of Laurel, Indiana, in the backyard with a chest wound. Inside the house police arrested Kelly B. Weiberg, 51, of Eau Claire, whom a witness said was the assailant. Police said that Weiberg later admitted to being drunk and punching and knifing Smith.
