ST. PAUL, Minn. – Governor Tim Walz listed these allocations as his disbursement choices from the original federal American Rescue Plan funding for CoVid relief:

> $7.8 million: Emergency shelters in Hennepin and Ramsey counties.

> $7 million: Child care assistance.

> $7 million: School mental health resources.

> $5 million: Food shelves, food banks and meal programs.

> $5 million: Prisons to address staff shortages.

> $1.9 million: CoVid compensation claims from state employees.

> $1.5 million: School teacher diversity

There also would be funds to distribute free cable gun locks at community events, including the State Fair.
