WINONA, Minn. –The Winona School Board voted to align the district with a federal rule that requires employers of 100 or more people to be vaccinated or undergo regular testing to slow the spread of CoVid. The rule, from the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health agency, takes effect February. 9. The school district’s personnel director, Emily Solheid, said 93% of employees reported being fully vaccinated. Six percent, however, reported they weren’t, Solheid said. There is a question whether the OSHA rule can lead to dismissal. The U.S. Supreme Court is considering the question.
