WINONA, Minn. – The new head baseball coach at Winona State University will be Seth Wing, who coached baseball at 1,000-student and Division 2 Cornell College in Iowa and served also as athletic director. The appointment was announced by Eric Schoh, Winona State’s athletic director. Wing’s base salary: $84,500. Wing replaces Kyle Pooch, who coached 20 years. Wing isn’t new to Winona State. He was an assistant coach under Poock from 2003 to 2011. This included the season in which the Warriors advanced to the NCAA Division II World Series. West’s teams at Cornell have had winning conference seasons in six of the past seven years.

Wing. Experience includes prep coaching at Maquoketa in Iowa and Blair-Taylor in Wisconsin.
