WASHINGTON – e U.S. Agriculture Department awarded a $11.4 million hybrid loan/grant to Spring Grove Communications to extend broadband to rural people in Houston County in southeast Minnesota and adjacent Iowa areas. New fiber-optic lines are planned to reach 983 people, 42 businesses, and 122 farms. The grant is through the federal Biden program to improve rural infrastructure.
