DURHAM, N.C. — Minnesota-born basketball player Matthew Hurt, a sophomore at Duke University, declared for the 2021 National Basketball Association draft. Hurt’s decision removes him from the Blue Devils roster. Hurt, age 20, a 6-foot-9 forward, went to Duke from John Marshall High School in Rochester. He won a gold medal with USA Basketball at the FIBA Americas U18 Championship in 2018. At Duke this season he averaged 18.3 points and 6.1 rebounds per game and shot 44.4% 3-pointers. The NBA draft will be July 29.
