WINONA, Minn. –A partnership between the Kwik Trip convenience store chain and Southeast College in Winona keeps on truckin’ after 10 years. The college has graduated 370 Kwik Trip drivers for the chain’s far-flung distribution system through eight states. Truck driving instructor Tom Gierok was there at the beginning. Kwip Trip, based in LaCrosse, had experience with a few Southeast drivers but by 2015 but realized it needed more. The college began cohorts twice a year exclusively for drivers whom Kwik Trip had screened and hired. Said Gierokz: “It’s a partnership that has turned into a friendship. I hope it continues for another 10 years.”
