WINONA, Minn. – Ernest George “Ernie” Blaskowski, age 67, of Winona, who worked for several river barge companies. died peacefully of cancer at Methodist Hospital in Rochester He attended elementary school in Nodine and high school in Lewiston .For 10 years after high school he worked for a Rochester landscaping company. He also worked at for the railroad and at Winona Monument and Saint Mary’s College. He enjoyed making homemade jewelry. He built his own ooathouse, in which he took great pride.
