NODINE, Minn. – A Kentucky man who apparently was hop-skipping across the country in one stolen vehicle after another was arrested back in Kentucky after he got away at the Kwik Trip truck stop in Nodine. The Kwik Trip part of the escapade was right out of Hollywood. Deputies said that Edward A. Clay, 35, was stopped in one stolen vehicle but jumped into another vehicle and, trying to flee, rammed two squad cars. Deputies had received a call from Kwik Trip about a suspicious vehicle. It turned out that the vehicle had been stolen on the Wilson frontage road 15 miles west on Interstate 90. At Wilson, deputies said, the man  left behind another vehicle believed stolen earlier in Illinois.
