LACROSSE, Wis. — The LaCrosse airport is inching its way back from 2022 when Delta, the dominant LSE carrier, shut down its service. The City Council chair Tamra Dickinson, who heads the city aviation board, reported 43,000 passengers last year— roughly 120 a day. The total is the largest since the 2022 Delta setback, Dickinson said. She expressed hope that new flights by the discount carrier Allegiant, twice a week to Forida, will continue the airport’s growth pattern. There also have nee Allegiant flights to Phoenix. LSE servicce to PunteaGardeabetween Fort Myers and Sarasota, Florida, is planned in October.
