ARCADIA, Wis. — This Trempealeau County community of 4,700 people, where Friday night lights are a big thing, is in shock that a high school football champ from 2009 is enmired in a sex exploitation case 60 mile away in Stevens Point. Word spread quickly that Isaac Vasquez, now 35, had been jailed on teen sex charges. He was an assistant girls high school track coach in Stevens Point. At Arcadia Vasquez had been a running back back and a star at the 310-student high school. Locals still remember jersey number: 47. The community took pride that he had gone on to the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosseand become  a four-time Division III national champion in the long jump and triple jump between 2011 and 2013, and a 16-time All-American. He stayed with sports after college. In 2018 he became an assistant girls track coach at Stevens Point, whose high school, with 1,450 students., dwarfs Arcadia’s hjgh schoool three to one.
