TAYLOR, Wis. — Robert C. Hardie, 82, a longtime Holstein dairy farmer south of Taylor, died at home. He held a degree from the Platteville Mining and Engineering School and spent three years as a mining engineer. He worked also for Nordberg Manufacturing in Milwaukee. In 1970 he took up farming with an uncle on a family farm started two generations earlier. He was a Melrose-Mindoro school board member for 39 years, many as president.
