WINONA, Minn. – Police received a report of an email scam built around college textbooks. The scam netted $4,000. The victim said scammer asked for help cashing a check for college books. Police directed the complainant to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center. The scam was reported about 2:30 p.m.
