CORNELL, Wis. – A firefighter who wounded in a freakish gun discharge at a house fire and who underwent three surgeries at an Eau Claire hospital was released for home. Fellow firefighters arrived at the hospital and escorted Justin Frederickson 40 miles home to Cornell. Said Fire Chief Klass: ‘“It is a brotherhood. Fire departments are a brotherhood. I can’t explain it unless you’ve been here.”
