LAS VEGAS, Nev. — The budget airline Allegiant, which specializes in vacation destinations, is cutting 10 flights a day from its Minneapolis schedule in September. These flights earlier were operated by Sun Country, which Allegiant acquired in January. Allegiant blamed a pilot shortage for the cuts. Also: Allegiant said it needs to shift aircraft to its growing cargo business. For September there will be 324 fewer MSP flights. The airline said it hopes to expand MSP service eventually.
