ROCHESTER, Minn. –Enrollment at the University ofMinnesota-Rochester, now 600, will grow to more than 1,000 by 2025, according to Lori Carrell, chancellor. She predicted the growth in a rosy report to the university system board. The forecast at came at a time when college enrollments are sagging nationwide. At UM-Rochester, Carrell said, more faculty will be needed. She said that the Rochester campus is unique in the UM system with an exclusive focus on health sciences. It’s also unlike any other four-year university in the nation, she said. Students, she said, are literally guaranteed a job when they graduate – across the street at the Mayo Clinic.

Carrell. Sees enrollment passing 1,000 in four years.
