ST. PAUL, Minn. – The American Civil Liberties Union may proceed with a class action suit on behalf of the state’s prison innates, a judge ruled. The ACLU claims that the state has been slow to protect inmates from the CoVid pandemic. Ramsey County Judge Sara Grewing also ruled that Governor Tim Walz and Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm can be added as defendants. The lawsuit alleges that only one-fifth of 7,600 inmates have been fully vaccinated.
