SPARTA, Wis.—A man accused of killing his step-grandfather with an axe and wounding three others pleaded not guilty. Thomas Aspseter, 37, entered the plea to five charges, including first-degree intentional homicide. He remained held on $1 million bond. A pretrial conference was scheduled for October 4.The attack was in June.
