MINNEAPOLIS – More calls have come for state Republican chair Jennifer Carnahan to resign, these from four of her chief aides at the state party headquarters. In a joint statement, Kevin Poindexter, Becky Alery, Christine Snell and Andy Aplikowski accused Carnahan of running a “morally bankrupt” organization through verbal abuse, intimidation and sexual harassment. Carnahan is among top-tier Republicans who are under fire for taking donations tainted by a sex-trafficking indictment in federal court. “Carnahan ruled by grudges, retaliation, and intimidation,” the aides’ statement said. “We cannot continue to allow Carnahan to denigrate this organization and tarnish the Republican brand– it is not the Carnahan brand — while continuing to drive well-intentioned, talented, and active Republicans to the curb.” Carnahan, meanwhile, again has vowed  that she won’t sept aside.
