MONEY CREEK, Minn. – An EF-1 tornado originated on the Winona-Houston county line four miles south of the Ridgeway exit on Interstate 90. It moved southwesterly down Campbell Creek to near the village of Money Creek, then continued southwest up the bluffs across Miney Creek an down the other side to the Root River six miles upriver from Houston, then crossed the river and State Highway 16 and, after 7-1l2miles, ran out steam. This all according to partially completed ground inspection by a National Weather Service survey team. Damage details in the report were incomplete. There were no injuries.
