WINONA, Minn. – By May 2025 the new Minnesota Masterpiece Hall in Winona will be ready to host its first concert if all goes according to plan. Demolition is well under way at the Fifth Street site where Bob Kierlin and Mary Burrichter are planning the $35 million 700-seat world-class performance center. The concept is a May through October season, the Winona Post reported. Evening performances would range from chamber music to full orchestras. Sundays would include open hours at an on-site art gallery and matinee performances. Although many details are still coming together, the plan is to open the new Fastenal parking lot during off hours, evenings and weekends, at the former YMCA site 1-1/2 blocks away.
