ZUMBROTA, Minn. – A Rochester man died when he lost control of his car struck a tree. Wayne Paul Peterson, 76, was dead at the scene, deputies said. A passenger, Sharon Marie Peterson 76, was taken to a Rochester hospital with non-life threatening injuries. They were northbound on Main Street at Ninth Street in a1996 Buick Park Avenue. This was about 12:10 p.m. The streets were dry.
