CENTERVILLE, Wis. – The Centerville Curling Club, hoping to attract newcomers to the ice sport, is holding an open house and learning event:4 to 9 p.m. Friday. Dave Pierret, a club spokesperson, said the Olympics have grown curling’s popularity. “It’s a fairly new Olympic sport. But as it got in the Olympics, people really gained interest,” Pierret said in a KWNO interview.

Intro lesson: The open house is $10 for adults, free for those under 18. A recommendation: Warm clothes. A requirement: Clean shoes.
