WINONA, Minn. — La Verne A. Martinson, 86, of Winona, who was employed with Winona Knitting Mills until his retirement, died at the Gundersen hospital in LaCrosse. From 1953 to 1957 he was with the U.S. Air Force. Later he was a welder with the Pullman Standard Steel Car Company in Butler, Pennsylvania.
