WINONA. Minn. – The Winona Chamber of Commerce has declined to recommend to its 400-plus members that they cancel all business dealings with Russia. Two weeks ago Governor Tim Walz asked Minnesota businesses to pull the plug on Russia connections in response to the brutal Putin war on neighboring Ukraine. The Winona Chamber president, Christi Ransom, has failed to respond to repeated media queries about Walz’s request or to elaborate on a policy position either way.
