ST. CHARLES, Minn. – A 17-year-old driver lost control on a straight stretch of Highway74, headed toward Whitewater State Park, and crashed into the ditch. This was about 4 p.m. Deputies said his injuries appeared non-life threatening, but the driver was transported 25 miles to a Rochester hospital to be checked out anyway. He was driving a 2012 Ford Taurus. The accident was four miles north of St. Charles near County Road 39.
