ROCHESTER, Minn. – Two Olmsted County poll judges in the August primary election have been linked to a Trump group called Olmsted County Election Integrity. The two were trained by the group, sources said. A police source confirmed there is an investigation but offered no detail, saying the case is in early stages. Unknown is whether the two engaged in partisan mischief or skullduggery. The names were not released. It is known, though, that the two workers will not be poll judges in the general election Tuesday.

Precinct workers

Election judges are temporary employees at precinct voting places to help administer elections. They ensure that only qualified voters vote, and they certify precinct election results. A precinct typically has three judges, usually at least one from each major party, to keep the process honest and above suspicion.
