DECATUR, Ga. – A 17-year-old fugitive from the fatal Mall of America shooting in Minnesota in December has been arrested in this Atlanta suburb. The teenager was jailed pending his return to Minnesota on charges of second-degree murder and second-degree assault. Meanwhile in Minnesota, the police chief of Bloomington, where the mall is located, reported that the teenager’s mother has been arrested. Apparently she drove her son to Georgia to avoid arrest. Police Chief Booker Hodges said the Golden Valley woman was charged with aiding and abetting.
