ST. PAUL, Minn. – Gov. Tim Walz turned emotional over the Legislature’s failure to address policing issues raised by the police killing of George Floyd. At a news conference Walz read a message from the family of a person who was killed in a police shooting. The message, he said, was “a primal scream for justice.” To legislators the governor said: “To take your ball and go home in the middle of this is an embarrassment.”
