Blunt-force injuries claim Michael Protzman at Mayo
MILLVILLE, Minn. – The QAnon cult leader Michael Protzman died at Mayo Clinic after a dirt-bike accident at the world-class Spring Creek Motocross track, the news agency VICE reported. The accident occurred June 30 at the motocross track 25 miles from Rochester. But that the victim was Protzman had been unnoted by news media until VICE picked up a tip. To VICE, the state Health Department confirmed the death of Protzman. He was 60. Protzman died of multiple blunt force injuries, according to the death certificate. Online Protzman called himself Negative 48. By trade he was a demolition contractor in the Tacoma, Washington, suburb of Federal Way.

QAnon profile
QAnon had murky online origins in 2017. Contributors used pseudonyms and codes in advancing apophenic theories that linked unrelated things they purported to make sense of events. One example, of which Protzman was the prime progenitor: Donald Trump really was John F. Kennedy in disguise who would re-instate his Trump persona as president and install JFK Jr., his son, as vice president – this despite the fact President Kennedy had been assassinated in 1963 and his son killed in a 1999 plane crash. As whacky as such QAnon conspiracy theories were, Protzman became god-like to QAnon believers. He acquired thousands of cult followers who drank the Kool-Aid and financed his travel, many of whomaccompanied him on his travels. These travels included 18 months attending Trump presidential campaign rallies.
Spring Creek Motocross profile
The motocross track is on 500 acres of forested land between Dumfrees and West Albany on State Highway 60 west of Wabasha and northeast Rochester. The track dates tn1988, when the husband and wife team of John and Greta Martin bought the 56-acre Perry Hendricks farm. John had been a CanAm and ATK factory racer and 1985 National Hare Scrambles champion. Greta had been school teacher. They bought more acres over the years. Today it’s considered one of the premier motocross facilities in the world. The Martins promote the track as a family destination. There is picnicking and a beach in Spring Creek, a tributary to the Zumbro River. They call a concession shop the Pit Stop and sell dirt-bike photos, posters and programs.
