MINNESOTA CITY, Minn. – A man was arrested after a woman reported a morning of being assaulted by a knife-brandishing assailant who threatened to kill her. Arrested was Erik J. Bustillos-Cavazos, 19. The woman said her assailant finally let her leave the Hidden Valley trailer house where the assault occurred to go to work. Instead, she went to a family member’s place and called police. Bustillos-Cavazos was arrested at the trailer house. Deputies found a handgun magazine but no firearm. The charges recommended to the county attorney: Second-degree assault, threats of violence, and ineligible possession of ammunition.
Bustillos-Cavazis. Also faces two gross misdemeanor domestic assault charges.
